E.O. Wilson is a hero of mine. Biologist, theorist, naturalist, and author, he has spent much of his time researching his own theory of everything. In his famous 1998 book Consilience, he drafts the framework for uniting the sciences and the humanities.
I was lucky enough to stumble into a lecture he was giving at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History a few years ago and it reminded me that I love science, I love ideas, I love learning.
